90 Years of Giving Back to Our Communities
3Rivers believes that thriving communities are built on shared success, which is why giving back has always been central to our cooperative’s mission.
In the last 90 years, we’ve invested millions of dollars and thousands of volunteer hours into the communities we serve, through sponsorships, grants, and in-kind donations. Since launching the 3Rivers Credit Union Foundation in 2015, we’ve granted over $2 million to hundreds of local non-profits supporting three key pillars: financial literacy, education, and health and wellness.
And it’s not just about financial contributions. We know that our time and talents are just as impactful, and our employees dedicate countless hours to volunteering in the communities we serve, embodying the credit union philosophy of "people helping people."
Our team members are given two paid volunteer days per year to support the causes they believe in. We hold an annual, all-employee giveback day on Columbus Day each October, volunteering at numerous non-profits throughout the communities we serve. And our Community LEADERS program helps develop employees into dynamic Board and community member leaders.
In addition, through special initiatives like our annual scholarship contest and partnerships with local schools, colleges, and youth-focused community organizations, we’re working to empower the next generation with the tools they need to succeed. Supporting the community is not just part of our history—it’s at the heart of our future.
